We all want healthy children. But what we can do to help them stay healthy? The average child is sick 10 times a year. This number is simply too high and there is no reason why it should be very high. Once or twice a year, colds or other viruses are understandable, but 10 times a year? Think of all the missed school for it and missed work for you and the good times the family should be postponed or canceled completely. There are simple things we do as parents to turn sick children to healthy children.

The first step to a healthy child is a healthy diet. Children need lots of good food. Foods that are full of sugar, fat, starch, and are highly processed are not nutritious. Good nutrition begins at home. There are many small changes can make immediately for the whole family eats healthy. Fresh fruits, vegetables, lean protein and whole grains every day must be provided. It may be easier and cheaper, the frozen, packaged and processed to buy versions, but it really is not. You will find that the purchase is actually healthy for less than buying junk. Hit a few healthy recipes, make a shopping list and the store to think healthy. Stay away from chips, soft drinks and sweets. Instead, you can buy whole wheat crackers, pretzels and fresh fruit. We all want sweet and savory treats, so use in place of healthy alternatives. Children eat what is available to them, it’s your job to ensure they have healthy choices.

The next step for a healthy baby is to focus on the environment around our children. Health hazards can be found throughout the house. The first thing to do is go clean out your closets. All cleaning products should not go safely. Many cleaning products contain harmful chemicals. If your children have asthma or allergies, they are particularly vulnerable to upper respiratory tract of toxic chemicals. I use only safe products and non-toxic cleaning in my house and have it any other way. You do not have the expensive “all natural” products to buy, but you can buy from a name you can trust. There are many security products available, but not all the same. Choose products that are super-concentrated, they protect you the best value for your money and the environment.

Finally, healthy children need lots of exercise. When they returned home, they get off the couch and moves with you. There are many exercise videos simple, child-friendly or you can choose to have your own routine. My children and I love to go walking day, play and go to the park. If the weather is bad, move the outdoor activity. Can jump jumping jacks, ropes, yoga for children, and other fun activities to make inside of origin. Or they can enroll in karate, gymnastics, dance classes or after school sports. Be creative! The possibilities are endless. It does not matter what activity you choose, as long as children are active and have fun. The key for children to exercise is that it’s fun. Turn off the routine and not be too intrusive to the training at home. The best way to keep your children active, set a good example. If they see that you keep trying to get in shape, chances are they will join
